Pickleball in Port St. Lucie: Where to Play

If you haven't picked up a pickleball paddle yet, Port St. Lucie is as good a place as any to start. The city has embraced the sport enthusiastically over the past several years, and courts here are noticeably easier to find than in some of the busier South Florida markets.

Getting started

  • Many public parks now have dedicated pickleball courts, alongside or converted from older tennis courts
  • Drop-in play and casual leagues run through the winter months, especially popular with the snowbird community
  • Paddles and balls are inexpensive and widely available locally if you didn't bring your own

A great way to meet people

For guests staying with us for a month or more over the winter, pickleball has become one of the easiest ways to meet other seasonal residents. Drop-in games are famously welcoming to newcomers, regardless of skill level.

It's low-impact, easy to pick up, and a nice midday activity that doesn't require the heat tolerance a full round of golf does in the height of summer.
